With their distinctive blue eyes and colour points, Siamese cats are the most recognized breed that arrive at cat shelters. Many of the cats that come to RESCUE are Siamese crosses; meaning they may not have “perfect” points and the distinctive Siamese traits.
Siamese and Siamese cross cats form close emotional bonds with their human companions. Many Siamese cats will suffer emotional grief and trauma when they lose “their families” and find themselves in a shelter environment. At RESCUE, we give these cats the time they need to adjust and find a new loving home.
Looking for kittens?
RESCUE Siamese periodically receives litters of kittens for adoption; however they will not necessarily be featured on our website, as they tend to find homes rather quickly. Kittens are not housed at our store location, and so appointments must be made to meet kittens in person at their foster homes. Please visit our Facebook page and/or e-mail us at [email protected] to check on the availability of kittens.

Poco Domestic Short Hair Grey tabby cross Female Date of birth: June 2017 Hey everyone, Poco here! Well looks like I am ready to find my very own forever home. As you all know I had my hind legs caught in some farm machinery and I lost part of both my hind legs. Now don’t get me wrong, I am a happy healthy kitten however I will require a little more care than your average kitten. At this time my wounds have healed, however down the road there may be some further required needs. This is unknown at this time and right now I am doing great, but it is something to be aware of if you are wanting to add me to your family. I am a little bit shy at first, but once I come around I am the most cuddly little girl around. I just love people, they are my favourite. I do very well with cats. I do take some time with dogs, especially the outgoing type. I do like my space so a cat savvy dog would be best who will give me space to learn to trust them. Now what I require at this time are just a few things to help reduce impact on my hind limbs. I wear a bootie on my longer leg, this helps cushion it and helps me get grip when motoring around. I also love going on couches and my humans bed. Pleas don’t let my amputations scare you away. I love life and am just your typical happy healthy kitten. If you think you are the family to provide me a forever home, let my rescue know and my foster mom would be happy to answer any questions. If you are interested in adopting Poco please fill out an adoption application and you will be put in contact with her foster family.

Celia Domestic short hair Grey tabby – Oriental Date of birth: 2009 Meet Celia! Celia first came into the program some time ago with a group of farm cats that needed to be rescued from a dog! Despite this, Celia is quite friendly towards dogs and other cats. The group consisted of blue point Siamese crosses; Celia was born a green eyed beauty which is common in cross bred litters. Celia is a super “cool” cat who easily adapts to new situations. She can be a little bossy at times with other cats, but then she is also quite the leader. Celia is not super cuddly but enjoys being brushed and just hanging out with her humans. She is a little shy at first until she gets the lay of the land. Celia is the last of her group to be adopted; her brother Titan found a home last Fall. If you would like to meet Celia, you can visit her at Pet Valu Meadowood, during their regular store hours.

Simon Siamese cross Long Hair Seal Point Male – neutered Date of birth: 2014 *FIV POSITIVE* This beautiful boy is Simon. He is a sweet, gentle cat who loves to get head scratches and a treat or two. Simon is also FIV+, which means that his immune system is not as strong as a normal cat. FIV, the feline immunodeficiency virus, is much like the human version of the virus (HIV). It is only transmitted by contact to blood (ie. bites, scratches) from an infect cat. So, other cats can live quite comfortably with and FIV+ cat and share bedding, water dishes, and litter boxes, without problems. Furthermore, FIV cannot be transmitted from cats to humans. SImon is a very sweet, gentle boy and would do well in a home with other, mild-mannered cats. If you would like to meet Simon, please visit him during our store hours at 38 Barberry Road. For more information regarding FIV, please visit: https://pets.webmd.com/cats/cat-fiv-feline-immunodeficiency-virus#1.

If you would like to meet Blizzard and Snow, you can visit them at our adoption centre at 38 Barberry Road during regular store hours.
Fanta Siamese Cross Flame Point Male – neutered Date of birth: 2010 Fanta is a big boy with a big personality! He enjoys sitting on a perch and watching the world around him. He is a talkative boy and will let you know when he wants attention (or maybe a treat). Fanta is very independent and will let you know when he wants to be paid attention to. Because of this, Fanta would do best in a home without small children (<8 years old), and would prefer a home without any other pets. If you would like to meet Fanta, you can visit him during our regular store hours at 38 Barberry Road.
