Victoria is from a farm in Northwest Manitoba. Unfortunately the cats 60+ cats living on the farm were not managed and all of them required medical intervention to treat upper respiratory virus. Furthermore, nearly the entire colony tested positive for FIV, the feline form of HIV (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feline_immunodeficiency_virus). FIV is only transmissible to other cats through bites and scratches–it cannot be passed to humans or other animals.
Rescue Siamese agreed to take 3 cats from this colony: Victoria, Floyd and Ivor. Victoria is positive for FIV but her immune system is still intact. She required little treatment and has tolerated her vaccines well. She is a little shy but loves head scratches and doesn’t mind having her picture taken. Victoria gets along with other cats and is not a risk around FIV negative cats as she tends to keep to herself. She is still quite young and loves to play, especially with jingle balls and feather toys.
If you would like to meet the lovely Victoria, please fill out an online adoption form and we will arrange a meeting at our store location at 38 Barberry Road.
