The cats that come to RESCUE usually spend two months in our program before they are available for adoption (to allow for an adjustment period and to have the cat spayed or neutered). Because we are able spend this time with the cats, we get to know each cat’s personality very well.
Our adoption counselors will talk to adopters about the home environment that the cat will be moving to and give advice to make sure that there is a “purrfect” match. RESCUE’s return rate is less than 2% – far below that of many other shelters.
