History
- Biography:Douglas came into our care this past spring after being found outside the city, where it’s believed he may have been abandoned. When he first arrived, it was clear he had been through a lot, both of his eyes were causing him discomfort and required entropion surgery. Thankfully, Douglas handled his treatment with incredible patience and resilience. His recovery went smoothly, and while he may occasionally need a bit of ointment during flare-ups, he’s now feeling much better and ready to enjoy life to the fullest. From the moment he joined us, Douglas charmed everyone he’s met. He’s an exceptionally sweet and affectionate boy who absolutely adores people. His gentle nature and laid-back personality have quickly made him a volunteer favourite at the shelter. Douglas gets along well with most of the other cats at the shelter, though he tends to prefer calm companionship over the company of younger, more rambunctious felines. He hasn’t met dogs yet. Douglas is ready to begin the next chapter of his life. One filled with love, comfort, and the joy of finally belonging to a family of his own. Whomever brings Douglas into their home will be gaining not just a pet, but a loyal friend with a heart full of gratitude and affection.
