- Biography:Kahlua is a very sweet little girl who has made an amazing amount of progress since coming into our care. Kahlua came into our care after being found outside with her siblings, Malibu and Bailey. Of the three, Kahlua has always been the shyest and most cautious when it comes to people. But watching her come out of her shell has been incredibly rewarding! When Kahlua first arrived, she was understandably unsure of her new surroundings and the people around her. With time, patience, and lots of gentle encouragement from her foster, she has come such a very long way. She is now starting to seek out affection on her own, coming over for pets and head scratches and even enjoying cuddles with her foster. Kahlua is still a shy girl, and she will need an adopter who understands that she may not become an instant best friend on day one. She needs someone willing to give her the time and patience to adjust at her own pace. In return, you will get to experience something very special — watching this sweet little girl gain confidence and discover just how wonderful being loved can be. Once she is comfortable, Kahlua is playful, affectionate, and enjoys being around her people. Those little moments when she comes looking for pets or settles in for a cuddle are extra special because you know just how far she has come. Kahlua would do best with a patient, gentle owner who will give her the time she needs to feel safe and confident in her new home. She may be the shyest of the siblings, but underneath that cautious exterior is a very sweet little girl who is learning that people can be trusted — and that cuddles and head scratches are pretty wonderful things!
